(I have no idea what “meet in passage” means so I had to take a guess, and I guessed that it means that they just kind of met under no special circumstances, so I hope I was right.)

Sansa Stark was his opposite. She was beautiful, polite, young, rich, educated, innocent… a lot of things that he wasn’t.

They lived on the same street, and went to the same grocery store, and ate the same brand of cereal. She would greet him if she saw him, but if he saw her first he often avoided her. Eventually he learned her name, and she learned his, and if he ever saw her outside of the store she would smile and give a little wave.

She asked him to go get coffee with her eventually. He had nothing else to do, so he did. She glanced around nervously the whole time, and eventually her eyes locked on the window and he saw a tall blond guy about her age staring back. He looked pissed, but he left.

“Are you alright?” He asked her, and she simply nodded and finished her coffee. And after that they were friends, and she showed him her bruises eventually. It was none of his business, and she didn’t have to, but she opened up to him anyway. She said she’d leave him soon, that he was cheating on her anyway, and he told her that he would kill the guy if she wanted him too. She smiled and thought he was joking.

But she didn’t have to leave him, some other fucker killed him eventually. Sansa was shocked, but not happy or sad about it.

He didn’t have any bruises to show her, but he had scars and he showed her those. He told her about Gregor, and about his childhood.

That was the one thing they seemed to have in common. They were both hurt. They were both broken things looking for someone who wouldn’t hurt them more. He wouldn’t hurt her, and she wouldn’t hurt him, and sometimes he stayed in her apartment because her heat worked better than his and that was fine with her.

And sometimes she would wear his shirts on laundry day because she said she liked the way they felt and smelled and that was fine with him. And he cried when she kissed him the first time and she never laughed at him once.

And they still ate the same brand of cereal and had to start visiting the grocery store more often because they ran out twice as fast.
